Exhibition 4: Light Night

Vessel was a light installation produced by Roger Gibson and Richard Bolam as part of the 5 Cities’ Light Night. The installation took up two sides of the entire first floor of Persistence Works, home to 70 artists and makers. Obsolete technology was combined with found objects and materials to produce moving images that referred to the workings of the creative minds operating in the building. The title was an allusion to the stern-shaped front to the building and to the shared voyage of discovery experienced by the ‘passengers’.
